The tool that earned us first place at the ESP Medium Challenge 2026. Not a one-off analysis, but a complete system able to audit a results file and draw its own conclusions, with robustness checks built into its core.

BAC Auditor is the system that won Data Squad first place at the ESP Medium Challenge 2026.
The challenge was to analyse exam results. We made a different choice from most teams: instead of delivering a one-off analysis of a given file, we designed a genuine system, able to take any results file, audit it and draw its own conclusions.
Robustness checks sit at the heart of the system: detection of inconsistencies, data-quality verification and automatic flagging of suspicious cases. It is this generic, reusable, tool-based approach that made the difference.
